Dos comunidades Mapuche de Padre Las Casas, sector Huichahue: comunidad Entuco y Curiqueo Queupumil, que hoy se encuentran en conflicto con la Municipalidad de Padre Las Casas, han iniciado la reivindicación de terrenos ancestrales donde el Municipio pretende imponer arbitrariamente, una media luna de rodeo, un casino para el club de huasos y la organización del rodeo anual.
Cabe consignar que a causa de que el Municipio compró y posteriormente entregó en comodato al Club de Rodeo Criollo de Padre Las Casas un terreno dentro de la Comunidad Entuco y colindante con la curiqueo Queupumil, hoy se ha generado un conflicto, situación por la cual las comunidades han determinado iniciar un proceso reivindicativo, plantando recientemente un chemamüll en los terrenos, realizando una ceremonia y hoy, ingresando formalmente la petición de resolución de este conflicto ante instancias públicas como Conadi y ante el propio concejo municipal.
A principios de este mes ambas comunidades se reunieron por primera vez y acordaron trabajar juntas para reivindicar el predio de la municipalidad y recientemente en una ceremonia afianzaron el acuerdo y se han establecido diversas reuniones al respecto con tal propósito.
Este 29 de octubre desde las 15,30 horas se ha convocado a un mitin e ingreso formal a Conadi para la búsqueda de una solución frente a estos hechos.
